More Info

Unlike most prepaid cards, you can use this one to withdraw cash at ATMs when you are abroad. You can also add companion cards for anyone ages 13+—it’s a great way to teach your children about finances while you’re all on vacation.

When you purchase the card, it’s not attached to any of your existing accounts. However, if you set up an automatic funds transfer/direct deposit with another one of your accounts, you won’t need to pay a reload fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the cost to purchase an Acadia Prepaid Travel Card?

The cost is $5, although we have several ‘no fee’ purchase promos throughout the year. Companion cards are $2 each.

  • Are there any ATM withdrawal limitations?

There is a maximum of $1,500 in ATM withdrawals, or three ATM withdrawals per day—whichever comes first.

  • Are there any reload limits?

Purchase transactions are limited to six per day with a maximum of $2,500 daily. ATM withdrawals are limited to three per day with a minimum amount of $20 and a maximum of $500. To learn more about the current limits, please refer to the terms and conditions upon receiving the card.

  • How do prepaid Travel Cards work?

Our Travel Cards are reloadable prepaid Visa debit cards, which means you can spend up to the value placed on the card anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. You can shop in stores, online, over the phone, or by mail order, and get cash at ATMs worldwide. Each time you make a purchase, the amount of that purchase is automatically deducted from the card. It’s not tied to a personal account. Once the money on the card runs out, you can’t spend any more until you have reloaded more funds.
